Slut Aus Nord Byzantine. Furious. Harrowing. The shortest Krallice album, but perhaps their most powerfully intense. The band's violent hardcore tendencies are coaxed out by a sludge veteran, but given some space to breathe by synth-laden song segments, and more immediate direction by his vocals. Favorite track: Etemenanki.
PannionSeer

PannionSeer Krallice's knack for harnessing chaos is on full display here. Towering structures of dizzying, mathy tremolo runs race over icy chords. Edwardson's doom-encrusted, almost punk sensibilities add a more visceral feel, and keep the songs grounded. The result is a dense, byzantine, but also heartfelt EP that rewards repeated listening. Favorite track: Retrogenesis.

wearethetruevoidofindifference Krallice can do little wrong, they are such an unique band with a very eclectic and complex own sound. In the many layers of these sompositions, tons of details are hidden. No easy listening but oh so rewarding... Dave has done a fantastic job aswell, he adds his own touch to the music! Favorite track: Etemenanki.

Lorenzo If you have listened to Krallice, you may have wondered which direction they could follow after essentially upping themselves continually. It turns out you need a bit of Neurosis to liven things up. It is just as technically dazzling as past Krallice albums, and Dave's unique vocals fit extremely well.

cassandraleo Edwardson fits in with the band so naturally that it's difficult to comprehend that he hasn't been part of the group all along. I suspect Neurosis keeps him quite busy, but I also hope this isn't the last time we'll see these two forces in extreme metal collaborate. Favorite track: Khronos Deposed.

about

The most recent full-length LP from New York's Krallice marks yet another distinct evolutionary leap in their recorded output, and includes vocals and synth by Dave Edwardson, who is most well known as the bassist of the legendary NEUROSIS.

Although still distinctly Krallice in sound, they once again prove their masterful ability to contort and twist their works into a new beast while maintaining a natural feeling of songwriting progression. Edwardson adds an entirely new element with his unmistakable, harsh vocals and atmospheric synth layers.

Loüm is presented with cover art by Carl Auge of His Hero Is Gone.
